Last week the folks at Autocar revealed a video of a Corvette ZR1 chasing an even more exotic Lamborghini Murciélago LP-670 SV. The SuperVeloce was driven by Lamborghini’s own factory driver, while the ZR1 was driven by an auto journalist. What was most surprising and impressive was how well the ZR1 kept up with the exotic around the track.
The Corvette is equipped with a 604 horsepower 6.2 liter front mounted V8 and powered solely by the rear wheels. On the other hand, the LP-670 SV is propelled by a slightly more powerful 670 horsepower mid-mounted V12, which sends power to all four wheels. The Lambo also weighs less than the Vette, but these small differences didn’t account for much on the track. Both of these cars are their respective automaker’s most expensive models, but we won’t even go into the pricing difference of these two cars, as we all know it’s more than significant.
